Hannah plays Sophie- The character Sophie is a typical teenage girl who craves acceptance within social environments but is shadowed but other attractive and popular girls within the social group she has recently attempted to enter. Ever since Sophie clawed in the social group she tried all she could to seek attention and acceptance from those in the group to be seen as confident as the girls she envies in the group, Nicola and Amber. Sophie is an obsessive character and would do all she can to get her way through using manipulation and lying. Sophie has liked Benedict ever since they met as he used his warm charm to make her feel like the most special person in the world. Mise En Scene

Indoor home environment- Party Scene

Our first s scene in the trailer displays a party scene which took place in a home location. The reason we used a home location was to portray a house party environment, which connected to the overall narrative. House parties are connected with young teenagers which is the reason we used this location. For example if we located the party scene in a club ,it would not have successfully conveyed young teenagers as clubs are usually to portray young adult ie 18+ this would have effectively distorted our target audience of young teens unless we showed the character where using fake ID to enter the club. The lighting in the scene was mostly dark to establish the thriller genre however the party scene was the light-hearted part of the trailer which was reinforced by the light-hearted music.

Forest- camping scene

Forests are usually depicts a scary environment which is often used in thriller/horror films as it is abandoned, bare, mysterious and dark. The forest represented the change from light hearted teenagers having fun at a party to deathly revenge in a dark and mysterious forest creating a binary opposition. (light hearted/ intense) The forest help in making viewers more apprehensive about what would be taking place next which is something familiar in thriller genre film. Our group purposely filmed when it was dark to make scenes as daunting and intimidating to viewers. Warm clothing worm by the actors as the camping trip portrayed the cold environment in the forest. Cold weather typically replicates a thriller genre rather than hot weather, as it would subvert the meaning i.e. brightness and sunshine reinforces happiness and dark and cold represents bad and evil.

The theory of equilibrium was portrayed in the beginning of the trailer to firstly introduce audience to characters as well as help build tension. Disequilibrium began once the camping trip taking place in a forest was introduced, this was reinforced by the story establishing a scary theme (Sophie is seeking revenge), the intense music and distorted imagery (fuzzy camera). However disequilibrium was not restored, as we wanted the trailer to intrigue viewers and leave them asking questions.
